Seven young voices from Darjeeling, Kurseong, Sonada, and Panighatta sat down for nearly two hours to debate what a "permanent political solution" should actually mean — two days after the Centre reconfirmed its committee on the Gorkhaland demand.
Moderated by Anjan Upadhyaya for Hamro Prajashakti National, the panel — Prashant Gurung, Salina Sangpang Rai, Adarsh Manger, Aryan Pradhan, Sunil Rai, Aryan Raya, and Siddhart Tamang — didn't just repeat slogans. They argued over strategy, over which political parties actually deserve trust, over Union Territory vs. Sixth Schedule vs. full statehood, and over something sharper: why the word "Gorkhaland" itself seems to be missing from official language coming out of Delhi and Kolkata.
