The original Dudhey Bridge was washed away in the devastating October 2025 landslides. A temporary bridge was later also washed away by heavy rain last week (mid-June 2026), following which MP Raju Bistaās office sought Indian Army assistance to construct a Bailey Bridge, expected to be ready within 15 days from June 23. š Siliguri Ring Road (180 km Mega Project)
A massive 180 km ring road around Siliguri has had its DPR (Detailed Project Report) finalized as of June 24. Work will be done in two phases ā the first 85 km stretch will be prioritized and fast-tracked. The route will run from the GorakhpurāBagdogra expressway through Panighata, linking NH-10 at Salugara and continuing via Sevoke to Odlabari.
š§ NH-10 Status (SiliguriāKalimpongāSikkim)
As of today, June 27, the NH-10 from Siliguri is open and road conditions are stable. However, a landslide is recorded nearby today. During monsoon disruptions, the standard alternate routes remain: Munsongā17th MileāAlgarahāLavaāGorubathan for small vehicles and ReshiāPedongāAlgarahāLavaāGorubathan for heavy vehicles.
