West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul has announced a major plan to redevelop Darjeeling and four other North Bengal towns into modern "Himalayan Hill Cities" to boost the regional economy, trade, and tourism. As part of her three-day official tour of the Darjeeling Hills, Terai, and Dooars region, she chaired high-level administrative review meetings alongside Darjeeling MP Raju Bista.
