A Cup of Tea and a Question of Change

I wake up before the sun rises in Darjeeling, jaile jastai. The hills are still covered with mist, ani the air feels cold while I start helping at our tea stall. Life ta same nai cha, even after the election.

Naya government ayo, naya promises haru pani aayo. K kati change huncha, tha chaina. Tara jastai aru sabai, ma pani quietly hope garchu… yo pali chai ali ramro huncha ki.
