Life After the Election – A Darjeeling Story

The election season in Darjeeling had finally ended. The loud rallies, colorful flags, and endless debates slowly disappeared from the hills. The town returned to its peaceful rhythm.

One morning, Rohan, a young tea seller near the Mall Road, opened his shop as usual. People from different political backgrounds gathered for tea. During the election, they had argued often, but now they sat together, laughing and sharing stories.

Tourists began returning to Darjeeling, enjoying the cool breeze, the view of Tiger Hill, and the famous toy train. Local businesses became busy again, and life slowly moved forward.

Rohan's grandfather smiled and said, “Elections come and go, but our hills remain. What matters is how we care for each other after the votes are counted.”

The people of Darjeeling realized that real change did not begin on election day—it began the next day, when neighbors chose unity over division and worked together for a better future.

Moral: Elections decide leaders, but people decide the future of their community. 🌿🏔️
